Cedar Creek to Loon Lake

Cedar Creek to Loon Lake

Spent a great day wandering with the Kootenay Mountaineering Club last weekend on a hike from Cedar Creek to Loon Lake. Our route took us high above Ainsworth Hot Springs, following old mining roads and ATV trails.

Brilliant Overlook

Brilliant Overlook

An incredibly scenic hike just outside Castlegar! It’s hard work stomping up that trail, but the panoramic views overlooking the Columbia River Valley are well worth it. Syringa & Yellow Pine Trails

Syringa & Yellow Pine Trails

The trails above Syringa Provincial Park meander through an open forest of towering ponderosa pine. This is easy, pleasant walking with excellent views of Lower Arrow Lake.
