Trailhead & Driving Directions
In Creston, head north on Highway 3 and turn turn right on Helen Street where the Tim Hortons is. Drive 0.5 km down Helen Street and park across from the trailhead kiosk.

Up the hill
The trail switchbacks up the hill with a few steep grades. The noise of Creston down below is fairly constant as you rise through the forest. Reach a scenic bench after 0.7km with the first views over the valley. Shortly after, the trail forks into a steep option and an easier bypass with a longer switchback – chose your route!

The initial climb eases after 1km as the trail traverses north along the slope. Reach a second scenic bench after 2km with bigger views over the valley.

Shortly after, another bypass gives the option to go steep or go gradual – either way, continue hiking up the hill!
Billy Goat Bluff
Reach the bluff after 3.1km with a picnic table and view! A metal goat is fixes to the trees. Look for a path leading further north to scenic bench, looking out towards Kootenay Lake.
