Webster Road Trail
A pleasant ramble through the forest to viewpoints over the Beaver Valley. This trail switchbacks up the hill with a nicely managed grade. Perfect for a short hike!
Columbia River Trail
A long connector between the Cities of Castlegar and Trail, the Columbia River Trail offers an extended hiking season and scenic river views. It’s most popular with trail runners and bikes, but hikers will enjoy exploring the historic Blagodatnoye Douhkobor settlement.
Larch Ridge Loop
Follow the mountain bike trails through the forest to a beautiful ridge with views over Trail and Rossland. Come in the summer for huckleberries or the fall for the golden larches.
Montrose Antenna Trail Loop
The Montrose Antenna Trail offers scenic views of the Columbia River Valley with a nice climb up the slopes. Come for the fall colours or spring flowers – either way, this is an amazing shoulder season hike!
Record Ridge
Welcome to the scenic, southern end of the Seven Summits Trail. Record Ridge makes a great out-and-back to explore the high grasslands.
Delaurentiis Bluffs
A scenic overlook trail above Salmo! The Delaurentiis Bluffs trail provides both exercise and inspiration as it climbs high to a series of viewpoints above the valley.
Champion Lakes Trails
A beautiful network of trails looping around the three Champion Lakes. Explore as much as you want, but definitely visit the viewpoint!
Kootenay Columbia Trail
Edging above Rossland, the Kootenay Columbia Trail heads to a scenic bluff with a big view! This hike can be done within an hour – a great destination for beginners!
Red Mountain (Rossland)
There is nothing like hiking a beautifully crafted trail! The hike to Red Mountain weaves through forests and bluffs at a steady grade, lifting you up to the summit with big views over the ski resort and Rossland.
Talus Hill
Talus Hill pops up above the village of Warfield to offer 360 degree views of the Columbia River Valley. It’s a short hike, but new hikers will find a challenge on the rocky switchbacks.
