Whitewater Snowshoe Trails

Whitewater Ski Resort maintains a network of multi-purpose winter trails. This area provides accessible winter alpine scenery and is available for snowshoeing as well as skiing, fat biking, and dog-walking.

Nelson Nordic Snowshoe Trails

A scenic set of snowshoe trails which loop through old growth forests and wetlands. These trails are great for beginners and families, providing an accessible winter outing close to town.

Mount Crowe Snowshoe

A winter wonderland awaits! The snowshoe route up to Mount Crowe leads to amazing views along the ridge. It’s a little more adventure than exploring the day-use cabins below, so be prepared to route-find and break trail.

Mount Lepsoe Cabin Loop

A scenic snowshoe beneath Mount Lepsoe in the Rossland Range! This loop visits four cozy day-use cabins and winds steadily up through winter forests to beautiful views.

White Queen – Snowshoe Route

White Queen is an incredible snowshoe destination in the Whitewater backcountry. Starting near Hummingbird Pass, the route winds up the western ridge to White Queen with stunning views and snow-sculpted trees all along the way.

Mount Beattie

Mount Beattie is a forested snowshoe route near Whitewater Ski Resort. It’s an alpine winter wonderland with deep snow and frosted trees. 

Mount Crowe Cabin Loop

A scenic tour of 4 cabins in the Rossland Range, circling beneath the slopes of Mount Crowe. This is a perfect snowshoe excursion or early-winter hike with cozy cabins and impressive distant views.

Mel DeAnna Trail

The Mel DeAnna trail is a forested loop around the tranquil Champion Ponds. It’s a great shoulder-season hike with fall colours, Columbia Valley views, and plenty of birdwatching on the ponds.
