Trailhead & Driving Directions
From Highway 3B in Fruitvale, turn onto Columbia Gardens Road and follow it across Beaver Creek as it turns right and heads southwest for 1 km. Turn left onto Tamarac Avenue and follow it for 0.3km as it curves into Green Road for another 0.4km. Turn left onto Wilson Road and drive for 0.3km then turn right onto Webster Road. Find the trailhead on Webster Road.

Winding uphill
The Webster Road Trail is built to be multi-use for mountain bikes and so it ascends over thoughtful winding switchbacks through the forest. Look for trilliums popping up in late April as the forest fills with greens. The trail skirts around some recently clearcuts, staying in the forest.

After 1.9km, a trail leads to a viewpoint on the right with a scenic bench. A great spot for a pause!

Upper Webster Trail
As you near an orange radio tower at 2km, you’ll meet a junction. Right turns into the Barclay Creek mountain bike trail (downhill only), but left goes to the Upper Webster Trail (hiking only) to ascend to a higher viewpoint. Go left and follow the sign to the Upper Website Trail.
At 2.2km, cross a pipeline clearing with a view over the valley. The trail continues in the woods and begins climbing some rocky outcrops.

Reach the top of the hill at 2.6km with a nice view looking west towards Montrose. The snow-capped peaks of the Rossland Range are on display here, along with the nearby landmarks of the Montrose Antenna Trail.

When you’ve enjoyed the view, turn back and retrace your steps home.
