Trailhead and Driving Directions
From Kaslo, head 68 km (42 mi) north on Highway 31. Pass through the communities of Meadow Creek as the road turns to gravel and then Poplar Creek, then watch for the signed trailhead on the left. The trailhead is at kilometre marking 39 on the roadside.
Around the Grove
Take a moment at the trailhead to read about the history of the trail and nearby Goat Range Provincial Park. Then head around the loop, admiring the old growth cedars as they tower above. The path is easy to follow with interpretive signs at regular intervals.
Devil’s Club borders the trail so it’s a good idea to stick to the path. Around half-way, you’ll find a beautiful example of a nursery tree giving life to a new tree with braided roots.
Complete the loop after about 30 minutes. It’s not a long trail, but it’s worth a slow, meditative pace.
